Good to know: Gil had a serious vain operation after the Belgian championships in Aywaille 2009. One of the consequences was that he lost about 5 kg. Now he is fighting back to restore his name and fame of being one of the Belgian topriders -23.

 

Qualities as a rider: Gil survives the climbs and is good in making the pace but up to now he had too much health problems to be able to show his real qualities as a pro.
